Summary

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the fabrication process, including the people, equipment, and materials used to create products.  They ensure that the work is completed on time, to quality standards, and within budget

 Description

  • Coordinate with engineers and project managers to plan and execute projects 
  • Ensure that products meet quality standards and industry specifications 
  • Ensure that safety procedures are followed and that the work environment is safe 
  • Ensure that the work is completed within budget 
  • Ensure that work orders are completed on time and that production schedules are met 
  • Maintain and repair fabrication equipment 
  • Manage inventory and order materials as needed 
  • Ensure that the work complies with all relevant regulations and company policies 
  • Identify and implement ways to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency 

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering 
  • 10+ years of experience in steel fabrication, erection techniques, and safety practices
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
  • Ability to read CAD engineered drawings
  • Basic computer skills
