Summary

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the fabrication process, including coordinating activities, ensuring quality, and meeting production standards. 

Description

  • Oversee production goals, schedules, and capacity 
  • Ensure quality control, monitor quality standards, and address quality issues 
  • Ensure safety compliance, conduct safety meetings, and implement safety policies 
  • Manage staff, conduct performance reviews, and ensure staff are well-trained and motivated 
  • Manage material delivery and storage, and ensure proper handling and use of materials 
  • Maintain accurate records of construction activities, inspections, and progress reports 
  • Coordinate with team members, stakeholders, and other departments 
  • Identify and address construction challenges and issues 
  •  Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering 
  • 15+ years of experience in steel fabrication, erection techniques, and safety practices
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
  • Ability to read CAD engineered drawings
  • Basic computer skills
